Hello friends, so you finally decide to make your own website and wondering about what is Domain and Web Hosting??
Don’t worry, today I am going to tell you all the basic points including the difference between Domain & Web Hosting. Because, It’s very important to clear the difference between them before you move on to create your first website.
What is a Domain Name?
Domain is basically the address of your website, like google.com, facebook.com. It’s what your visitors type into their browser to check your website. Domain names are unique like findmytricks.com, that means you cannot register a name once it is registered by others.
What is Web Hosting?
Web hosting is something like the place where you can store all of your stuffs. (or like the place where you can store all of your content and files of your website)
Domain name vs Web hosting (Difference)
In simple, a domain name is like the address of your house. And web hosting is the exact place of the house where you can store your bed, furniture and all.
If you want someone to come and visit your house, the first thing you did is to give them your address(Like my address is findmytricks.com). Then they come and see how beautiful you make your house.
And to make a house beautiful, you need to store good things at perfect place (Talking about your website contents). And to store things you need a place, that is basically called hosting where you can store all your files.
Now, i hope you understand the difference.
Some sites provide both domain and hosting at the same place (like bluehost, Siteground etc.). But, if you want to register domain and hosting from different sites then it’s all your choice. That makes no difference and no problem at all.
If you have any other questions in your mind, then don’t hesitate to comment.
